The date continued, but it wasn't the same. She was clearly disappointed and I couldn't blame her, I'd made a completely avoidable mistake.
We could have seen Orchard Of Peaches of course, but she'd lost her interest in seeing a movie since seeing Hymns Of Their Doom wasn't a good option.
So we went to a bar, after she said no to bowling.
A couple of drinks, some complimentary popcorn and not quite happy conversation, it could have been worse, but should have been better.
Needless to say, there was no goodnight kiss. But we made plans to see each other again next week. It would have been sooner, if she wasn't going away for a few days.
At least she didn't let my foolishness end things prematurely like one woman I remember did for something much similar.
