Where Are The Words

 

Where are the words

Lurking in my heart

That I gladly share

With all who care

To read of them

 

It feels like forever

Since I heard the beat

Of the poet's dance

And told a tale

In short bursts

Of poetry

 

And though as not

Has it forever been

Time has passed

And I do indeed

Struggle with the words

 

Where are the words

lurking in my heart

I miss them so

And pine for their return
