Oh Pleasant Spring
Oh pleasant spring
That doth unfold before
My dreaming eyes
I fear your passing fast
And must perhaps
Awaken now
To the season's truth
Oh how not
I wish it so
But wishing it
Will not cause
Its coming forth
As so I like
So with a certain heaviness
I am nearly fallen to
The point of backing there
Where not I wanted
To be again
But with a knowledge
That if I do
It will help me so
To make tomorrow
That wished for
Oh pleasant spring
That doth unfold
I fear I must me wait
For another when
Like next of year
As reality
Must support
Even such
A slender dream as mine
